Coleus Kong Jr.

Super color for shady spots

After all the new sun-loving coleus varieties were introduced during the past few years, along comes the perfect coleus for shady spots – Coleus Kong Jr. Available in a handful of stunning colors and patterns that range from bright chartreuse to deep red, Kong Jr. is a versatile, easy-to-grow plant.

Coleus Kong Jr. can grow to 22” tall and up to 24” wide, adding big blocks of colorful, heart-shaped foliage to the shade garden. Plant Kong Jr. where it can really shine, like near entryways, under trees, behind smaller annuals in a flowerbed, and in mixed or specimen patio containers.

A few tricks will keep Coleus Kong Jr. looking good. Remove any flower stems as soon as they develop, which encourages larger foliage. A little plant food throughout the growing season will also help Kong Jr. reach its maximum size.
